We had a few Sydney-based slate companies to repair the slate roof after storm damage, with not a great outcome, including cracked slates remaining and several leaks through, inferior workmanship..  I then called Oliver Stearman at Slate Roof Restorations who was able to fix all problems, including the  water leaks and secure the roof, without over- promising and under-delivering, which was a constant with the previous companies. Yes, and it is often our preferred approach. Reclaimed slate not only keeps costs down, it maintains the aged character of the roof in a way that new slate simply cannot replicate.
