Vaucluse Slate Roof Restoration and Repairs

Vaucluse homes have a sense of permanence from the sandstone bases to the slate roofs that crown many of its older properties.
These roofs are part of the architecture, the heritage, and the streetscape.

A well-built slate roof can last more than a hundred years, but only if it’s looked after. Cracked or slipped tiles, ageing mortar, and damaged flashing can all lead to leaks, especially in coastal environments like Vaucluse where salt air and weather extremes are common.

That’s where we come in.

We’ve worked with slate for more than 30 years. Whether it’s a minor repair or a complete restoration, we understand how to care for these roofs properly and how to do it in a way that respects both the building and its history.

Every slate roof restoration or re-roof job is done by our own team.
When you call, you speak directly to the people who’ll be on your roof.

If your roof is part of Vaucluse’s story, we’d be proud to help it last another century.

Why Choose Us

Working on Vaucluse’s Slate Roofs To Restore Them

Slate is one of the few surfaces that can be repaired without starting over. Most older slate roofs can be preserved with the right care.

If the structure underneath is still sound, we can replace broken tiles, secure loose sections, repoint ridges, and blend in reclaimed slate for a seamless finish. We assess what needs to be done and repair what matters using reclaimed slate wherever possible to keep the roof looking original.

Even if your roof is only part slate or you’re not sure what materials were used. We’ll inspect your roof properly and give you options that fit your home’s style and your budget.
We work with all roofing materials including terracotta tiles, Colorbond and Shingles and Shakes.
We pride ourselves on having your roofing work properly and with minimal disruption.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot speak more highly of Oliver & his team. He was efficient, committed, punctual, polite, professional & dedicated to get our roof back into great shape. He came when he said he would & even let me know when he couldn't make it - something that doesn't generally happen!! Oliver came out twice to replace valleys & broken slate tiles & I can defiantly say I would have him back in a flash if necessary in the future. Thank you Oliver & Luke - highly recommended!!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We engaged Oliver in relation to the restoration of our slate roof.
He agreed to carry out an initial assessment of the roof at no cost and as a result of the assessment, we agreed on the works to be carried out.
Oliver and his team were punctual and easy to communicate with. They carried out the repairs to a high standard and at a reasonable cost. They respected our property and cleaned up at the end of each days work.
Based on the works carried out at our property, I have no hesitation in recommending Oliver / Slate Roof Restorations.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Unreservedly recommend, and I'm a hard marker. SRR completely restored our heritage listed house's slate roof in a heritage listed street in Woollahra with a level of professionalism and civility rarely seen these days, not to mention the very competitive costings -- proud owner of the best roof in the street.
